1. Who We Are
This privacy policy applies to MyShop Enterprises Pty Ltd ("we", "us"), the developer of the Duoscape mobile application and related services. Duoscape is a couples travel planning and relationship-building platform available on iOS and web.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
- Name, email address, and authentication credentials when you create an account
- Profile information including avatar (optional)
- Partner connection data when you link accounts with your partner
Travel preferences
- Travel styles, interests, budget range, climate preferences, and dream destinations
- Home airport and passport countries
- These are used to match you with relevant deals and experiences
Relationship and connection data
- Love Map question responses (shared between partners)
- Appreciation messages sent between partners
- Connection pulse check-in ratings
- Trip reflection entries (favourite moments, learnings, ratings)
This data is private to your couple account. It is never shared with other users, advertisers, or third parties. It is used solely to power your in-app experience.
Trip and savings data
- Trip plans, itineraries, and saved deals
- Savings goals and contribution amounts
- Surprise trip plans (visible only to the planning partner)
Information collected automatically
- Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
- Usage analytics (pages visited, features used, session duration)
- Push notification tokens (for deal alerts and partner messages)
- Location data only if you grant permission (used for nearby deals and experiences)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To match you with travel deals and experiences that suit your couple profile
- To power relationship features (Love Maps, conversation starters, appreciation cards)
- To track savings goals and trip planning progress
- To send deal alerts and partner notifications
- To provide anonymised, aggregated couple preference data to partner properties (never individually identifiable)
- To improve the app and develop new features
4. Partner Properties
Duoscape partners with hotels, resorts, and experience providers ("Partner Properties") to offer curated couples experiences. Here is how we handle data in this context:
- Anonymised insights only. Partner Properties receive aggregated, anonymised data about the types of couples interested in their property (e.g. "65% of matched couples prefer beach and wellness experiences"). They never receive your name, email, or individual responses.
- Booking data. When you book through Duoscape, the Partner Property receives the information necessary to fulfil your booking (names, dates, contact details). This is the same information you would provide booking directly.
- Trip reflections. Post-trip reflection scores may be shared with the Partner Property in anonymised form to help them improve their couples offering. Your specific written responses are never shared.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on Supabase (database and authentication), hosted in the Oceania (Sydney) region
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Row Level Security (RLS) ensures each couple can only access their own data
- Surprise trip data is hidden from the partner being surprised using application-level access controls
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes
6. Apple Sign-In and Third-Party Authentication
Duoscape supports Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In. When you use these services, we receive only the information you authorise (typically name and email). We do not access your Apple ID password, iCloud data, or Google account data beyond the authorised scope. You can use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature to create a private relay email address.
7. Push Notifications
With your permission, we send push notifications for deal alerts, partner appreciation messages, savings milestones, and trip reminders. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
- Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active
- You can delete your account at any time from the Profile section of the app
- Upon account deletion, all personal data, relationship data, trip plans, and saved deals are permanently removed within 30 days
- Anonymised, aggregated data that has already been shared with Partner Properties cannot be retroactively removed as it contains no personally identifiable information
9. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Withdraw consent for push notifications and location data
- Export your data in a portable format

10. Children's Privacy
Duoscape is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of Duoscape after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
